Paying Zakat to an Adopted Daughter
Can I give money from my Zakat to my adopted daughter; because when she was young there was no need for that, but now she needs it for her education and requirements?
Answer
I say, and with God's success, it is permissible to give zakat to an adopted daughter if she is poor; because she is not one of the descendants to whom zakat is not given, and God knows best.
