Paying Zakat on Goods and Valuing Them
I am a trader with goods and I want to pay zakat on them. Should I value them at the price I sell them for or at the price I bought them for?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: You evaluate your goods at their value, which is the wholesale price, not the retail price, and you purify it, and God knows best.
