Question
A murder occurred, and after consultation, the family of the murdered agreed on a specific amount as blood money. The murderer is unable to pay this amount, so one of the murderer's relatives wanted to help him with this amount, but he said to him: I will give you the amount and I will count it as my Zakat. Is it permissible to pay Zakat as blood money for this person, knowing that both the murderer and the family of the murdered are poor?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible to pay it on his behalf as it is his wealth's zakat if the offender agrees to it and is poor, and God knows best.
