Paying the Fidyah for Fasting on Behalf of Others Due to Their Inability
A woman is unable to pay the fidyah for fasting, is it permissible for her sister's husband to pay it on her behalf?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If he donates to her and she is pleased with that, it is permissible to pay on her behalf; otherwise, it remains a debt upon her, and God knows best.
