Question
Is it permissible for me to give the expiation for the days I missed fasting last Ramadan by feeding my family or another family?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The expiation is not valid unless one reaches the stage of permanent incapacity. If one is able to fast, then one should not pay the expiation but rather make up the fast. The expiation is given to the poor, not to your children or parents. And God knows best.
