Paying Charity for Relatives
A woman whose husband passed away wanted to give charity on his behalf. Is it permissible to give this charity to her granddaughters?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible to give it to her grandchildren and children because it is not zakat, and God knows best.
