Paying Bills from Zakat
Paying bills and rent for students of knowledge, is it permissible to pay directly to the specific bills of someone, rather than handing it over directly to avoid it being spent in areas different from the intended purpose?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible to pay the rent on their behalf or to settle the bills directly to the landlord or others, after obtaining permission from the person we want to pay for, and God knows best.
