Owning Hunting Pigeons
Is it permissible to take the catch of pigeons, especially if they are expensive, by mutual agreement that whoever catches the other's bird owns it?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: this is a form of gambling, and it is not permissible; due to the absence of what is lawful, and the necessity of compensation by the pigeon that is caught from each side, and God knows best.
