Opening Supplication
Should I recite the opening supplication in my prayer after each new Takbir al-Ihram, or just once in each prayer? For example, if I pray Dhuhr, should I recite it in the Sunnah, in the four obligatory units, and then again in the Sunnah, or only in the obligatory units?
Answer
The opening supplication is recommended in both obligatory and voluntary prayers alike; in every prayer we begin, we recite it, and Allah knows best.
