On the Ruling of Praying Behind One Who Does Not Follow a School of Thought
Is it permissible to pray behind an imam who does not adhere to any of the jurisprudential schools, and combines prayers without any excuse, for example?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If a person sees something from the imam that contradicts the schools of thought regarding ablution, for example, then he should not pray behind him. Likewise, he should not pray with him if the imam combines two prayers without a valid reason. And God knows best.
