Multiple Intentions in Charity
I donate a small amount every month and I want to know if I can have multiple intentions with this amount, for example, intending it as charity for the soul of my father, as well as with the intention of protecting my children from harm?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible to give charity with more than one intention in the charity; because it does not require a specific intention like zakat, and God knows best.
