Mixing of Women and Men in Family Gatherings
My family does not separate between men and women in family gatherings while we adhere to the Islamic dress code. Is this permissible?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is preferable to separate oneself for the sake of self-purification and to avoid doubt, and if there is a fear of temptation, separation is necessary. And God knows best.
