Question
I am over (55) years old, and every two or three months I experience light bleeding that lasts from (3) to (5) days. Should I consider this as menstruation that requires me to refrain from prayer and fasting? What about the saying I heard that there is no menstruation after the age of fifty?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The age of despair is fifty-five years, so menstruation after that is not considered except if it is bright red or black, and God knows best.
