Masturbation Practice
A 22-year-old girl, unmarried, used to practice masturbation daily and did not know it was forbidden. She asks if it is permissible for her to do it once a week, as she feels very comfortable afterward due to her need for it, as she says. What is the ruling in Islamic law regarding her action?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is forbidden to practice masturbation for anyone other than a single person who wants to relieve his desire, not to provoke it. And God knows best.
