Marriage of a Sunni Muslim Woman to an Alawite Muslim Man
Is it permissible for a Sunni Muslim woman to marry an Alawite Muslim man who acknowledges the pillars of Islam and faith but does not complete fasting or pray, on the grounds that he is a soldier and his work is exhausting, and his colleagues at work criticize him if they see him praying?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: Marriage in itself is valid if the person is a Muslim who acknowledges the obligations of Islam, but it is not recommended for two reasons: the first is that he belongs to another sect as you mentioned, and the second is that he does not adhere to the rulings of Sharia with flimsy excuses, so there is a fear of being associated with him.
