Making Up Missed Fasts of Unknown Number

Question
A woman has been breaking her fast during the month of Ramadan since she reached puberty and has not made up the days she owes. Now she is 41 years old and does not know the number of days she needs to make up. How should she make up the days, and does she have to pay any compensation besides fasting?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: She must estimate the number of days she has missed fasting, then seek help from God Almighty to make up for them. She is also required to perform a expiation, which is to fast for two consecutive months due to deliberately breaking the fast for all that has preceded. And God knows best.
