Question
If a person has passed away and has days of Ramadan fasting to make up, and his wife is aware of the days he missed, does she have to make up her husband's fasts first and then make up her own missed fasts from Ramadan? Or does she have to make up her own Ramadan fasts first and then the fasts her husband missed?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not permissible for anyone to fast on behalf of another, and it is recommended for her to atone for each day her husband has broken his fast by feeding a poor person, which is approximately the amount of two Jordanian dinars, and God knows best.
