Lying in Reporting about the Divorce of Kinayah
I joked in front of people that I gave my wife her answer (a kinayah for divorce), does this count as a divorce?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The euphemism for divorce requires intention; if one intends divorce, it occurs. However, this phrase is not known to be a euphemism for divorce, and God knows best.
