I say, and with God's success: It is well-known among the majority that he was a wise saint and not a prophet. Ibn Kathir said: The majority of the predecessors believed that he was not a prophet, and the claim that he was a prophet is only transmitted from Ikrimah. God Almighty mentioned him in the Quran, praised him, and narrated his words in the advice he gave to his son, who was the most beloved of creation to him, and he was the most concerned for him.
