Leading Travelers in Friday Prayer
A traveler arrived at a place at noon and wants to rest and pray. When he entered the mosque, the people chose him to lead the prayer because he is knowledgeable. He told them that he is a traveler and is not obligated to perform the Friday prayer, but the people insisted on it. What is the ruling on his leading the Friday prayer? And is his prayer with them valid?

I say, and with God's help: It is permissible for a traveler to pray the Friday prayer, and it is permissible for him to be an imam for those who are residing, and God knows best.
