Question
What is the ruling on investing in a company that deals with the global stock market, where we share profits with that company?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Trading in the stock market is not inherently forbidden, but it becomes forbidden if the company engages in prohibited practices such as usury or other prohibitions. We must examine the company we wish to deal with to see if it engages in prohibited activities or not, in order to determine the prohibition of investing in it. And God knows best.
