Intravenous Injections

Question
Are intravenous injections that have an effect on the brain, similar to narcotic or anesthetic injections, considered to break the fast according to Imam Abu Hanifa, in comparison to the ruling on treating a slave with medicine that reaches the brain? If the answer is no, why?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The intravenous needle does not break the fast, because the surface of the body is not a valid entry point even if it reaches the brain. What they mentioned about breaking the fast with medication for the sake of the body is based on their assumption that it reaches the stomach, but medical science has proven that it does not reach the stomach, so it does not break the fast. And God knows best.
