Interference of Fasting Expiation

Question
Does the expiation for fasting accumulate? For example, if a person deliberately breaks their fast during Ramadan, they are required to expiate by fasting two consecutive months and making up one day. If they break their fast for two days or more, does the expiation increase?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: there should be one expiation for each previous day of fasting broken, along with making up for all the days that were missed, and God knows best.
