Question
If a woman becomes pure for less than ten days during menstruation or for less than forty days after childbirth, when is it permissible to have intercourse with her?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is not permissible to have intercourse with one whose menstrual bleeding has stopped for less than the duration of the most extended period of menstruation or postpartum bleeding, except if a time has passed that allows for purification and the prohibition. At that point, it becomes permissible to have intercourse with her, even if she has not performed the purification, establishing the time that allows for purification in place of the actual purification concerning the permissibility of intercourse. And God knows best.
