I say, and with God's help: It is permissible to seek intercession through the status of the Prophet, peace be upon him. There are hadiths regarding this in Al-Tirmidhi and Al-Mustadrak, and it is a matter agreed upon as permissible in the jurisprudential schools of thought. The status refers to the rank, and God knows best.
