Intention is a Condition for Fitr Charity
If a person gives charity to the needy during Ramadan and does not intend it as Fitr charity but rather as a general charity, does it suffice for Fitr charity?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It does not suffice as Zakat al-Fitr; because it requires a specific intention, and God knows best.
