Incomplete Purity in Postpartum
A woman in postpartum has a regular cycle of twenty days. She saw blood for one day, then had thirty days of purity, saw blood for one day, had fourteen days of purity, and then saw blood for one day?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: her postpartum period is twenty days until she returns to her habit for exceeding it, and the second purity is incomplete as it does not separate between the two bloods; it is the continuous blood, so the blood after it is considered istihada (irregular bleeding).
