Question
My sister vowed to fast for two consecutive months if her husband was released from prison, and he was released 5 years ago, but she has not been able to fulfill this vow. Is it permissible for her to fast it separately because she cannot fast for two consecutive months?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: She is required to fast two consecutive months as she vowed; because this manner of fasting is considered valid in Sharia, so it is obligatory, and God knows best.
