Inability to Fast the Qada
A woman who gave birth to her children during the month of Ramadan has been fasting fifteen days every year, but now she is unable to fast. Is it permissible for her to pay a compensation? And what is its value?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: She must make up for the days she missed fasting if she is able to fast; if she is unable, she must pay the expiation for each day, which is feeding a poor person, and it is estimated at two dinars. And God knows best.
