Inability to Fast Due to Illness

Question
A woman is suffering from a chronic illness in her immune system and takes several types of medication, and her husband has suffered a stroke and cannot move, speak, or take care of himself, and no one is there to assist him except for her. Fasting exhausts her greatly, making it difficult for her to perform daily tasks. Is it permissible for her to break her fast to care for her husband, with the intention of making it up later?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If fasting harms you, it is disliked for you to fast in Ramadan. If the illness goes away, you should make up the fasts. If your inability to fast is permanent, then it is sufficient for you to pay the expiation, which is feeding a needy person for each day. And God knows best.
