I joined a congregation for a four-rak'ah prayer, and they had completed the first two rak'ahs with the middle Tashahhud. What is the correct way to complete the prayer and perform what I missed?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The one who has missed part of the prayer should perform the prayer that he missed after the imam's salutation, and it is considered his first prayer. He should begin with the opening supplication, seek refuge, say the Basmala, recite Al-Fatiha, and then the Surah. And God knows best.
