What is the ruling if the Muezzin calls the Adhan for the congregation while sitting?
Answer
It is permissible; as the main objective, which is the notification, is achieved, but it is disliked due to neglecting the Sunnah of standing. See: Al-Durr Al-Mukhtar 1: 260, and Al-Wiqayah p. 140.
