His fast is invalid; because sleeping is not considered a reason that prevents a fasting person from breaking their fast, and it is not like forgetting; because the sleeper is out of their senses, and if they are slaughtered, their sacrifice is not eaten, while the sacrifice of someone who forgets to say the name is eaten, as mentioned in Al-Bahr Al-Ra'iq 2: 292.
