Question
If a fasting person treats a wound in his abdomen during the day of Ramadan?
Answer
If the medicine truly reaches his stomach and brain, his fast is invalidated, and he must make up for it, whether the medicine is wet or dry, as long as he is aware of it reaching his stomach or brain. However, if the medicine is dry and he is unaware of its arrival, he does not have to make it up, as stated in Bada'i' al-Sana'i' 2: 93.
