I say, and with God's success: If he means the usual pilgrimage, and he responded to it afterwards, he is obligated to perform the pilgrimage, so the meaning is "with my soul, I am at your service." If he only intended the intention without responding, then nothing is required of him. If he meant by the pilgrimage of the soul the direction towards God Almighty and his intention, then nothing is required of him. And God knows best.
