How to Overcome a Sin That a Person is Accustomed To
If I commit a sin and repent from it, but I keep repeating it, what should I do to stay away from it? Which remembrance is better for this intention, seeking forgiveness or sending blessings upon the Prophet, peace be upon him?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: They say that repentance is not accepted except by avoiding sin and being determined not to return to it. We should increase our seeking forgiveness, especially, and then send blessings upon the Prophet , hoping that God will pardon us. And God knows best.
