Question
If someone wants to give charity on behalf of a deceased person, should they buy food and distribute it, asking those who receive the food to recite Al-Fatiha for the deceased, or is there another way for the charity to reach the deceased?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: He can give charity in any form he wishes, whether by distributing food, distributing money, or otherwise, whether he requests that they recite Al-Fatiha for him or not. All of this is considered charity for the deceased, and God knows best.
