How to Fulfill a Vow of Fasting and Its Alternatives in Case of Inability

Question
A woman vowed to fast for a month if she became pregnant, and she has become pregnant and given birth. Should she fast this month continuously or intermittently? Is it permissible to give a compensation instead of fasting?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: She is required to fast a consecutive month like Ramadan, and nothing other than fasting is sufficient for her unless she is unable to fast, and God knows best.
