How to Distribute the Aqiqah
A lady intended to distribute a complete Aqiqah to the poor, and after she slaughtered it, she gave some to her father, brother, and relatives. Is this permissible, or should she give the entire Aqiqah to the poor? Does she need to slaughter a second Aqiqah and distribute it entirely to the poor?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The 'Aqiqah is a means of drawing closer to Allah Almighty, and it is permissible to do with it whatever you wish in terms of feeding, eating, or distributing. And Allah knows best.
