How to Calculate Gold Zakat
Is there Zakat on 14 gold riyals, 7 grams? How much would the Zakat be? Should the Zakat be paid by selling a piece of it or by giving cash from elsewhere?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Zakat is obligatory if what you own of gold or cash reaches (100) grams of gold, and (2.5%) of the gold or cash or others should be paid, and God knows best.
