Handshake with the Husband's Uncle
A committed woman does not shake hands with men, but her husband's family insists that she shake hands with her husband's uncle. Is it permissible for her to do this?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The uncle of the husband is considered a non-mahram man for the wife, so it is forbidden for her to shake hands with him and it is not permissible for her to uncover herself in front of him, and God knows best.
