Question
I work in a company where most of the employees are Christians, and tomorrow is their Easter: the resurrection of Christ, where they greet each other by saying 'Christ has risen,' and the other replies 'Truly, He has risen.' I am forced to greet them as they greet us during our holidays. If I say to one of them: 'Happy holiday' or 'May you be well every year,' they respond 'Truly, He has risen.' Knowing that their holiday is based on disbelief, how should I act with them, considering that I am compelled to greet them?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible to greet with phrases that do not contradict our beliefs, such as "Happy New Year" or "Happy Eid". Their response does not harm you, and all that is based on your firm belief in their disbelief, error, and misguidance. And God knows best.
