Question
A woman owns gold and wants to pay Zakat to her mother and daughter, and she is not responsible for spending on them?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not permissible to give zakat (charity) to one's parents and children; the mother is among the ancestors and the daughter is among the descendants. Therefore, it is not valid to give zakat to them even if there is no one to support them. And God knows best.
