Giving Zakat in Installments
A student was given Zakat money, but if it is given to him all at once, it will be spent on the household because their circumstances are tough. Is it permissible to give it to them in installments so that he can actually spend it on his studies? And is it permissible to give a poor family Zakat money in installments, a certain amount every period, because the father does not manage it, and he might spend it on anything, leaving his family without money?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: It is permissible to distribute it according to what the giver sees as beneficial, so it is permissible to give it in full or in installments, whether to the student or to the family, and God knows best.
