Giving Zakat al-Fitr to the Poor
Before Ramadan, the son of our neighbors, who is Mongolian from a poor family, passed away, and they have another sick child. I gave the mother money with the intention of Zakat al-Fitr. Is this permissible?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible to give Zakat al-Fitr to them; because they are poor, and God knows best.
