Question
I heard that a woman is not allowed to give her husband from her Zakat, and I read a statement from one of the scholars that it is permissible for a woman to give her husband from her Zakat. What is the correct stance on this?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: the correct view is that a wife is not allowed to give zakat to her husband; because he is part of her, and giving to him is like giving to herself. Due to the connection of benefits between them, if she does so, her zakat is not considered fulfilled, and God knows best.
