Should gifts be returned if the engagement is annulled?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: All gifts given during the engagement do not need to be returned and are the right of the fiancée. It is disliked for the suitor to demand them back. However, if the gifts are part of the dowry, they take the ruling of the dowry. God knows best.
