Fulfilling Part of the Condition Attached to Divorce
A man said to his wife: 'It is forbidden and divorce if my aunt makes a hole in the wall for me to break it,' and he indeed broke part of it. Did he divorce his wife with that or not?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If the action that is conditional is the breaking (of something), then neither divorce nor the oath occurs, and God knows best.
