Question
If I vowed to give money when I received something and this thing was realized, should I give money, or is it permissible to give something else? Is it allowed to give the money to more than one person?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible to fulfill a vow by its value; it is not necessary to give the exact item vowed, but rather its value can be paid in anything else. It is permissible to give it to one poor person or to more than one. And God knows best.
