Forgetting the Intention When Performing Zakat
A woman gave her zakat during Ramadan, but she forgot the intention. Has she fulfilled her zakat?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Zakat is not valid without intention. If you have set aside the money with the intention of giving zakat before its payment, then that is a valid intention, and God knows best.
